Korean Style BBQ Shortribs (Kalbi)
Definitely a comfort food for me, but great for BBQ's and easy to make. These grilled short ribs are the Korean version of Japanese teriyaki. These ribs are always a hit at my parties, by the time I am done grilling this ribs and time for me to eat some there are none left.
3 Pounds of English cut (thick) shortribs, scored
Marinade
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup sesame oil
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup sugar
3 stalks of green onions, minced
2-4 cloves of garlic
2 teaspoons toasted sesame seed
Combine Marinade ingredients and pour over shortribs in ziploc bag, marinate overnight in refrigerator. Grill or broil until desired doneness.
You may also use the marinade with chicken which also taste amazing.
This dish goes great with rice, kim chee, etc..

Thanks I promise you will love this recipe.
Kal bi ribs are my absolute favorite barbecued meat! I haven't been able to make them as often as I used to since my teenagers can easily eat seven or eight a piece. My mouth is watering - great recipe and voted up!
I always have to buy 10x more because my husband likes to hog them all to himself. I dont make them at BBQ's that much anymore because they never make it off the grill to my serving tray :)

Your recipe looks tasty. I will save it for when I barbeque.
